A love of football and Wolverhampton Wanderers brought John Hall and Ian Davis together over ten years ago. Many years later and with the same passion for Wolves, a valued friendship has been developed into a new business venture.

John Hall is the business founder and managing director of National Platforms. He has over 23 years’ experience in the access industry and it was his vision to establish a new kind of access hire company. One that puts the customer at the centre of the business and allowed John to work with a network of likeminded business owners all around the UK and Ireland. In doing so pooling the knowledge, expertise, and the experience of Industry experts for the good of the customer hiring the equipment.

Ian Davis, our commercial director has many years’ experience leading companies in various industry sectors. His role is to support John and the business in any way that is needed.

That just leaves Mike Dell, the finance director and ‘Spreadsheet Man’. As a business owner with huge experience in a variety of industries Mike is also a trained accountant, meaning when John and Ian get distracted by the latest Wolves news, Mike gets on with the sensible stuff!

Our desire is to ensure National Platforms remains the problem solver of the access platform rental industry, supporting customers who need to work at height by getting them the machines they need, no matter where they are in the UK.
